I am an experienced petroleum engineer with more than 50 years working in the oil and gas industry and academia. But it’s been many years since God planted in my heart the idea to author this book, which deals with God’s creation including oil and gas, the earth, the universe and everything in it. Thus, to author the book I had to examine research from different disciplines that consider scales that go from micrometers in the cells of my body, to thousands of meters reached by petroleum wells, to astronomical distances measured in light-years. And I had to consider times that go from 13.77 billion years (the age of the universe) to 4.6 billion years (the age of planet earth) to millions of years required for the generation of oil and gas in the earth underground formations.

Along the way I had to delve into evolution that takes us to the way plants, irrational animals and modern human beings look at present. And obviously I had to examine climate change, not only at present and during the recent past but going back hundreds of millions of years. It’s been quite a challenge that I have enjoyed immensely.

I welcome you warmly to the results of my work presented in God and Petroleum. My book shows that available scientific research supports very well what is so succinctly presented in the first seven days of Genesis. They do not contradict each other.
